The Niagara men’s tennis team continue its fall schedule at the 2016 Rocket Invitational from Friday through Sunday.

The Purple Eagles are back on the court after competing in the Binghamton Invitational last weekend. Taylan Ozdemir picked up a third place finish, winning three of his four matches. He defeated NJIT’s Luka Kaic, 6-3, 6-4 and Binghamton’s Frenk Kote, 6-4, 7-6(3), to advance to the semifinals where he was defeated by NJIT’s Aleksa Petrovic, 5-7, 6-3, 7-5. The doubles team of Josh Wilson and Felipe Fuentes went 2-2 playing in the green draw.

The Rocket Invite is a hidden-dual format with no team scoring. Participating teams are Case Western, Detroit, Duquesne, Michigan, Niagara, Purdue, Saint Francis, Toledo, Valpo, Wayne State, Western Michigan, Youngstown State.
