On January 1, 2022, SP Amity Troopers arrested Steven L Adams, 57 of Bolivar for Driving While Intoxicated.
SP Amity Troopers stopped Adams who was operating a motor vehicle for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation on State Route 305 in the town of Clarksville. During the interview, Troopers detected the odor of alcohol, and observed bloodshot watery eyes, slurred speech, and impaired motor coordination. Adams admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages prior to operating the vehicle. Troopers conducted a battery of standardized field sobriety tests, which indicated that Adams was intoxicated. Troopers arrested Adams and transported him to SP Amity for processing, where he refused to provide a breath sample.
Adams was issued appearance tickets returnable to the town of Clarksville court, where he is to appear in February 2022.
