Buffalo Healthy Living is working with the Chinese Club of WNY, a 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization, to get N95 masks, surgical masks, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment to frontline healthcare workers in WNY’s busiest Emergency Rooms, Intensive Care Units, and Health Centers ASAP.
Due to strong personal & professional relationships, the Chinese Club of WNY is able to secure a large supply of N95 & surgical masks from certified equipment manufacturers that are shipping them directly to us in just a few days.
100% of your donations will go directly to the acquisition and delivery of this essential protective equipment.
Medical personnel here tell us that their hospitals have either run out of masks or are asking them to reuse the ones they have, which creates major health risks. We are fighters in Buffalo and cannot let this happen! The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 throughout WNY as of this morning has risen to more than 362, and 7 have died, the latest a female in her 40s. Our hospitals are begging for supplies to protect their doctors, nurses, and healthcare staff who are treating patients. The head of Italy’s medical association died of Coronavirus on March 10, 2020, because he had to continue to see infected patients without a mask. We must not let this happen here. Also, with the lack of definitive testing available, it is essential to provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the healthcare workers who need it most.
By this Monday, the Chinese Club of Buffalo will have distributed 14,000 masks to area hospitals, including Millard Fillmore Suburban, Roswell Park, and other major medical centers and it is still not enough!
