BOARDMAN, Ohio – The Niagara women’s golf team sits in third place after the first round of the Roseann Schwartz Invitational on Monday. The team finished the day with a total team score of 312 (+24).

Sarah Godfrey led the Purple Eagles, firing a 77 (+5) to finish the first round tied for seventh place. Godfrey birdied three holes and had eight pars.

Susan Leone and Marissa Del Monaco are tied for 10th place. Both carded a 78 (+6). Del Monaco birdied three holes and Leone shot par on 12 holes.

Daniella Hopper carded a 79 (+7) and is tied for 14th place after the first 18 holes of play.

Hannah Dombroski rounded out the Niagara quintet, making her collegiate debut. She shot 95 (+23) and is in 34th place.

Andrea SaenzEve Quinn and Claire Schoemick are competing as individuals. Saenz shot 97 (+25) and is in 35th place, Quinn carded a 99 (+27) and is tied for 36th place and Schoemick shot 128 (+56) to finish the day in 40th place.

The second and final round of the tournament will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 3 with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
