KENNEDY — Two Jamestown women and a woman from Irving were charged Thursday with five counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop.
According to New York State Police, Alisha Crouse, 34, of Irving, was pulled over on I-86 for speeding. While speaking to the occupants, it was determined that Crouse had a suspended driver license, Amanda Smith, of Jamestown, had been smoking marijuana and Alicia Burgess, 37, also of Jamestown, had an open container of alcohol and had been drinking.
A New York State Police K-9 assisted in search and alerted to several areas throughout the vehicle, untimately locating the two bags containing methamphetamine, foil containing methamphetamine, two unlabeled pill bottles containing hydrocodone and a bag containing marijuana. Crouse, Smith and Burgess were all placed under arrest, trnasported to SP Jamestown and processed. All three subjects were then released with appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in the town of Poland Court next month. Crouse was also issued tickets for Aggravated Unlicensed 3rd Degree and speeding. Smith was also charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree.
