STAFF REPORTS

It appears that Bo Bichette’s next game will be back in a Buffalo Bisons uniform.

After missing nearly six weeks with a broken left hand, Bichette is scheduled to rejoin the Herd on Thursday as the team wraps up it’s three-game series in Indianapolis against the Indians (7:05 p.m.).

The #8 prospect in all of baseball, Bichette has not played with the Bisons since getting hit on the hand with a pitch in Syracuse on April 22. Although the injury did not require surgery, Bichette did not play in a game until last Friday when he suited up for Single-A Dunedin of the Florida State League. In 4 games with Dunedin, the shortstop hit .545 (6-11) with a pair of doubles, four walks and four runs scored.

Bichette began the season with the Bisons and hit .245 with a home run and eight RBI in 15 games. Prior to the injury, he was on a 10-game on-base streak.

The Bisons return home on Tuesday, June 18 for the start of a six-game homestand against Indy and Norfolk. The series includes another Buffalo Wings Wednesday (June 19 – 7:05 p.m.), presented by (716) Food and Sport, a Honda fridaynightbash!® with Fireworks (June 21 -5:05 p.m. DH), the first ever ‘House Bisons’ Game of Thrones Tribute Night on Saturday (June 22 – 6:05 p.m.) and Princess Day at the Ballpark on Sunday (June 23 – 1:05 p.m.).
