Esther C. Winter passed away January 27, 2019. Born August 26, 1922 in Lockport she was the daughter of Jacob and Sarah (Thumen) Emendorfer. Through the years Esther babysat, worked for local dry cleaners, and Bell Aerospace. She enjoyed painting, drawing, and gardening. Esther was predeceased by her husband Donald Winter on September 25, 2012 and her daughter Diane Vetter.
Esther is survived by her children Daniel (late Darlene) Winter and Gloria (late Alan) Manning; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; sisters Edna Page and late Stella Seifert; also several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, Feb. 1st from 5-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Feb. 2nd at 10 AM in Good Shepherd RC Church, 5442 Tonawanda Creek Rd., Pendleton. Interment will be in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
