NIAGARA UNIV. — Niagara baseball head coach Rob McCoy has announced the Purple Eagles’ 2019 slate.

Niagara will open the season with a three-game series at North Carolina A&T Feb. 15-17. The Purple Eagles will then head to the University of New Mexico, where they’ll play a four-game series with the Lobos Feb. 22-24. This will be the first all-time meeting between the Purple Eagles and the Lobos.

Niagara will play a three-game series a Bucknell with a doubleheader on March 2 at 12:00 p.m. and a single game on March 3 at 12:00 p.m.

The Purple Eagles take a trip to Utah March 8-12, playing a three-game series at the University of Utah March 8-10 and a two-game series at Utah Valley University March 11-12. This will be the first meeting between Niagara and both Utah and Utah Valley.

Niagara continues its stretch of road games with a three-game series at the University of Cincinnati March 15-17.

The Purple Eagles open conference play at Rider, playing a doubleheader with the Broncs on March 23 at 12:00 p.m. and a single game at 12:00 p.m. on March 24.

Niagara opens its home schedule March 30-31, hosting Quinnipiac for a three-game series at Bobo Field.

The Purple Eagles play in a tournament at Binghamton on April 6, facing Central Connecticut State at 12:00 p.m. and the Bearcats at 3:30 p.m.

Niagara welcomes Little 3 rival St. Bonaventure for the first of two doubleheaders on April 9 at 2:00 p.m.

The Purple Eagles play a three-game series at Monmouth April 13-14 before closing out non-conference play with a doubleheader at St. Bonaventure on April 16 at 2:00 p.m.

Niagara returns to Bobo Field to host Iona for a three-game series April 19-20, then heads to Marist for a three-game series April 27-28.

The Purple eagles take on crosstown rival Canisius on April 30 at 4:00 p.m. at Sal Maglie Stadium in Niagara Falls, N.Y.

Niagara hosts Fairfield May 4-5, then heads to Siena for a three-game series May 9-10.

The Purple Eagles close out the regular season hosting Canisius for the annual Battle of the Bridge series May 16-17.

The MAAC Championships will be held from May 22-25 at Richmond County Bank Ballpark in Staten Island, N.Y.
