EDISON, N.J. — Senior forward Marvin Prochet’s stellar start to the season has earned him MAAC Player of the Week honors for the first time in his career announced on Monday.

Prochet became the first Purple Eagle to start the season with three consecutive double-doubles in nine seasons. He shot 42.9 percent from the field and shot a team-best 47.8 percent from behind the 3-point line, including making a team-high 11 3-pointers. In the season opening win over local rival St. Bonaventure, Prochet had a team-high 20 points and 10 rebounds, and co-led the team in assists with three.

Prochet scored 14 points and added 11 rebounds at 2018 Final Four participant Loyola Chicago on November 14. Prochet notched his 12th career double-double with a career-high 23 points and a season-high 12 rebounds, which were both team highs, in the victory over Wyoming on November 16.
