BUFFALO, N.Y. — Canisius head softball coach Kim Griffin announced the team’s 2018 fall schedule Thursday. In all, the Golden Griffins are set to play seven fall-ball games, starting Sept. 22 in the annual Nan Harvey Fall Classic.
The Nan Harvey Fall Classic will be played at Nan Harvey Field on the campus of the University at Buffalo. Canisius is set to play long-time rival Niagara at 10 a.m., before taking on the Buffalo Bulls at 12:20 p.m. On Sept. 23, the Blue and Gold will meet St. Bonaventure at 2 p.m.
On Sept. 30, Canisius will play host to Mercyhurst for a pair of games at the Demske Sports Complex. Those games are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
The Griffs will wrap up the fall slate Oct. 6 on the road in Olean, N.Y., with a doubleheader against St. Bonaventure. Game times for that twinbill will be announced in the future.
Canisius returns 18 letterwinners from last year’s team that posted a 12-35 overall record and a 8-12 mark in MAAC play.
