UPDATE: Erie County Sheriff’s Office says the two boys who went missing earlier today were found safe at a nearby house. 

ELMA — Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports multiple Sheriff’s units, including tracking K9s, have been dispatched to Elma to search for two boys who did not return to Elma Primary following recess.

The Sheriff’s Office is preparing areas to deploy teams to begin searching near the school and surrounding areas.

The Sheriff’s Office is working with school officials to distribute descriptions of the boys. The two missing students are nine and ten years old and if anyone locates the individuals should contact the Sheriff’s Office at 858.2903.

Police say the first boy is wearing a gray hooding and black pants with a white stripe, while the other has blonde hair.


Air-1 is grounded for mandatory maintenance.
