TONAWANDA — It was and eclectic mix of metal, punk and rockabilly packed into Stamps Bar on Main Street Sunday night as All WNY Radio’s Blackened Heart Ball took stage.

Put on by For the Music Productions, the night started with a 50-minute set from Final Decline, a three-piece old school metal band from Buffalo featuring EJ Keiser on guitar and vocals, Seth Welty on bass and Jim Bihary playing drums.  is a 3 pc old school metal band out of Buffalo Ny. Featuring Jim Bihary on drums, Ej Kaiser on guitar and vocals and Seth Welty on bass. The group worked the crowd into a frenzy. All WNY Radio’s ThinkSoJoe — dressed as “Beard Al Yankovic” said they “killed it as they always do.”

Next up was Scathed, a four-piece rock/punk outfit from Buffalo composed of Robby Deck on vocals and lead guitar, CJ Westcott on rhythm guitar, Nate Pecoraro on bass and Sean Laettner on drums. All WNY Radio’s Scott Leffler said their hour-long set of originals and cover songs “was incredibly impressive considering the band’s young age.”

LISTEN TO SCATHED’S SET

Lower Town Trio closed out the night with 49 minutes of solid rockabilly, playing many of their own songs mixed with recognizable cover tunes and reworked lyrics for the crowd: “I shot a man in Tonawanda … just to watch him die.” LT3 includes brothers Chris and Jason Van Cleve of Lockport, and a rotating mix of other cast members, including Sal Ianello, Michael Geraci and Michael Haggerty — it was Ianello Sunday night. They’ve been impressing crowds for over a decade and were on of the original bands to have music aired on All WNY Radio.
