Susan M. Lester of the Town of Pendleton, NY, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016. She was born in Buffalo, NY, on June 20, 1948, the daughter of the late James and Margaret [Glenn] Carpenter.
Mrs. Lester was a manager of the cheese department with Tops Markets in Amherst for over 20 years, before retiring in 2009. She was an active member of Beta Sigma PSI Laureate Alpha Kappa and enjoyed spending time with her family, scrap booking, traveling and going to Drum Corp.
Mrs. Lester is survived by her husband Allan J. Lester, one daughter Mary Beth (John) Lester, three grandchildren Megan (Shane) Woods, Ryan and Zachary Lester, one great-grandson Noah, also many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Linda Minick and Karen Graham.
Her family will be present on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM , with the Rev. Matthew Kofahl officiating.
Memorials may be made in her name to the Beechwood Continuing Care.
Interment in Niagara Falls Memorial Park , Lewiston, NY.
