NEW HUDSON — A pair of Caneadea men in one vehicle were both charged with driving while intoxicated following a property damage accident on State Route 305.

According to New York State Police, Troopers and Cuba Police responded to the report of a vehicle leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Around the same time, Cuba Police conducted a traffic stop and held a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle that had fled the scene of the accident.

Police determined the man behind the wheel, 22-year-old Skyler M. Hall, was intoxicated. During the investigation, it was revealed that the passenger in the vehicle identified as 20-year-old Matthew M. Warren was the operator at the time of the collision and that the operator and passenger had switched places at some point after the accident. Warren was also determined to be intoxicated.

Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Amity Troopers’ barracks for processing, where it was found that Warren had a blood alcohol content of .17 percent and Hall had a blood alcohol of .18 percent.

Warren was charged with DWI and leaving the scene of a property damage accident and released on tickets to return before the Town of New Hudson Court on Dec. 6. Hall was charged with aggravated DWI and released on tickets to return before the Town of Cuba Court on Dec. 6.
