TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A Town of Lockport male and female are facing drug charges following a raid on a residence Wednesday by the Niagara County Drug Task Force and New York State Police SORT team.

According to NCSO, Jason I.Jones, 34, and Brianna L. Moreland, 24, were both charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree unlawful manufacture of a methamphetamine — both felony charges.

Jones and Moreland were arraigned in the Town of Lockport Justice Court and no bail was set.
NCSO says that the arrests are “based on a six-month-long investigation into methamphetamine manufacturing by Jones and Moreland in the Lockport area.”

NYSP CCSERT hazardous materials response clean-up team responded due to the volatile nature of the byproducts used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

The investigation is ongoing and further charges are pending the results of lab analysis of evidence located.

The pair is due in court again on July 7.
